Dear Graduates, It’s OK…

As this years’ Fresher’s weeks draw to a close across the UK we draw our thoughts towards the 2015 Graduates. The celebrations and graduation ceremonies have died down so you may think it’s  time those Graduates left their University lives in the past and start ‘adulting’ like the rest of us! Don’t worry Graduates, It’s OK to not know exactly what you’re doing yet:

It’s OK that…

You haven’t started a graduate programme with a ‘Times 100’ companies. Companies all over the UK are crying out for graduate talent and the intake isn’t restricted to a September start date! Get online today and start your search!

It’s OK that…

You didn’t get the grades you wanted. Sure you want to achieve the best grade possible but don’t beat yourself up about missing out on the grade you wanted! Most companies are looking for a degree not a specified grade so you still have an excellent chance to achieve the job role you want!

It’s OK that…

You haven’t been travelling around South East Asia. This almost seams like a right of passage for a lot of students / graduates, but when you leave University with a pretty big student loan debt you may not feel like booking a 2 month trip across the world is the best idea! There is plenty of time to see the world so don’t worry if you’re not off backpacking this year!

It’s OK that…

You really miss bad daytime TV. Long lie-ins and daytime TV are some of the simple pleasures of student life. It’s OK to miss this when you graduate and have to start ‘adulting’, and hey there’s always that annual leave if you want to book a duvet day!

It’s OK that…

You wish you were at Fresher’s week. 2-4-1 shots, Z list celeb club appearances and mass fancy dress…  it sums student night life up perfectly.

It’s OK that…

You don’t know how to write a CV. You’ve probably never had to! Read these tips on how to write a CV and LinkedIn profile to get started!

It’s OK that…

You’re terrified of job interviews. Don’t be scared, it’s just about practice! Read these interview tips today to prep for the big day!
