don't give up

If You Fail Don’t Give Up

After a job setback the only way for you to go is forward, with positivity.

Everyone fails from time to time. If you don’t put yourself in position to possibly fail then you aren’t putting yourself in position to enjoy great success either. As Wayne Gretzky used to say “you can’t score if you don’t shoot.” I doubt he cried every time he missed a shot. To get the most out of like you will have to take some risks from time to time, or be extremely lucky. You can’t control luck but you can control what risks you take, just try to take the right ones.

Some people don’t handle failure well. They sulk and pout and it really brings them down. It’s best to learn from your mistakes if you made any and continue on to the next pursuit. Some things really are out of your control and you may have done a good job but it just didn’t work out. That doesn’t mean you made the wrong decision to try, and certainly doesn’t mean you are destined to fail in your next venture and more importantly don’t give up.

The easiest way to be set up to handle a set back in your career is to be sure to always have a well balanced life. If your job is the only thing you have going for you then losing it can be devastating. However if you have good friends and family and another purpose outside of just making money then you will see that there is more to life and handle it much better. Don’t let one set back hold you down, get back out there and give it your best shot the next time out.
