Will you have your vote?

In the 2015 general election we saw a huge gap between older and younger voters: 78% of those aged 65+ went to the polls, compared to only 43% of 18-24 year olds – an enormous gap of 35%! It’s reported that many young people have felt a ‘distrust’ for established political parties, or possibly were at University too far away from their registered polling station, but you can’t deny that such a huge gap in voters may have impacted upon our economy.

We’ve all been guilty of thinking ‘surely my vote won’t make any difference’, but after a shocking vote on Brexit and a certain celebrity being announced as President last year it’s safe to say that there’s never been a more important time to get out and have your say!

If 18-24 year olds can have a 78% turnout to vote, this would mean an estimated 2.5 million more actual votes – votes that could swing the vote in favour of a party that supports your beliefs and values!

There is less than 3 weeks until the general election, but there are still 3 days left to register to vote! So if you want your voice heard then click here to register to vote: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
