The Internet of Things (IOT) Is Poised to Explode.

The Internet of Things(IOT) refers to the interconnectivity of unique computing devices within the Internet infrastructure in place today. In other words, every device from your smartphone to your pc would be considered a part of the internet of things and with the latest developments and leaps in technology in the last ten years we are starting to see many more devices added to this list. Things like refrigerators, and even medical supplies (heart monitors, etc) are being added to the internet through connectivity by the hundreds and companies specializing in medical devices especially are set to see a huge increase in sales and productivity.

There are many elements involved in taking a company to success but with the Internet of Things product management is becoming more easily accessible and the contributions of technology and engineering are ensuring they are here to stay. Another element to the equation of success in the Internet of Things businesses are sales departments which often struggle to determine how to best take a service to market. Much like sales departments, human resources also play an essential role in this process and are responsible for developing the human element needed to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the Internet of Things.

Each of this elements plays a unique role in assisting a company and taking them up the ladder of success. Companies specializing in the Internet of Things strategy can take your business to the next level if you give it a chance. It’s here to stay and with the right strategy your business is too.

The Internet of Things (IOT) is a relatively recent phenomena but its the future so everybody should be aware and get engaged with it. According to Gartner by 2020 there will be 26 billion devices on the net whilst ABI Research predicts 30 billion WIFI connects to the net by the same year so its going to be big. This will force in IPv6 but that’s another story.
